Résumé

Convective heat transfer data are presented for the case of a circular liquid jet impinging normally on the face of a rotating disk. The impinging liquid is a mineral oil, typical of that used as a base stock in machinery lubricants. Tests were conducted over a range of jet flowrates and disk rotational speeds with various combinations of jet nozzle diameter and disk diameter. A nondimensional correlation of Nusselt number is given in terms of jet and rotational Reynolds numbers.
