Résumé

On the basis of various experimental observations, the author has proposed a physical model for the variation of wall and evaporating refrigerant temperatures, heat transfer coefficients, and the two-phase flow pattern during the wall dryout transition region.

A simplified analysis is presented which leads to a functional dependence of the form

α/αG = f(η, m)
The proposed relation is compared with experimental data and the agreement is quite good. The results are so plotted for five mass velocities of 157, 209, 418, 627 and 835 kg/m2s and heat flux varying between 4700 to 31500 W/m2.
