CONVECTIVE HEAT TRANSFER IN MHD CHANNELS
Résumé
The method for prediction of three-
dimensional flows in rectangular magnetohydrodynamic channels using two coupled
sets of two-dimensional compressible turbulent boundary layers equations is proposed. In each set of equations effects
of velocity and temperature nonuniformities and heat and friction losses at the
coupled direction are included. The method takes into consideration the difference flows between electrode walls and
between side walls. The method is tested
by comparing of calculations with available experimental data and analytical solutions for laminar and turbulent flows
in rectangular ducts. The axial profiles
of temperature, velocity and pressure
and convective heat fluxes and friction
coefficients are calculated for conditions of channel with rough walls.
