Résumé

In this paper, a numerical method for the analysis of flow and heat transfer in condensers is presented. This method is based on the Modified FLIC Method using triangular mesh pattern of FEM and on the idea of anisotropic porous media modeling the flow resistance and heat transfer of tube bundles, and is suitable to analyse the flow and heat transfer problems in condensers with tube bundles and baffle plates of any complicated configuration.
This method was applied to two examples, one was one-dimensional experimental condenser, and the other was two-dimensional experimental condenser. The calculated results were compared with the experimental results and good agreements were obtained.
