Résumé

A calculation scheme is described for the prediction of diabatic annular two phase flows where significant departures from thermodynamic equilibrium occur. The scheme is an extension of earlier models in which departures from hydrodynamic equilibrium were considered allowing predictions of dryout and associated phenomena. In the new scheme both hydrodynamic and thermodynamic disequilibrium are calculated. The application of the model to prediction of the condensation of a superheated vapour and of heat transfer in the post-dryout region is discussed. In both cases a liquid phase (assumed to be at the saturation temperature at its interface) is in contact with a superheated vapour. Reasonable agreement is obtained for the prediction of data obtained at Harwell and elsewhere.
