DROPWISE CONDENSATION - FURTHER HEAT-TRANSFER MEASUREMENTS
Résumé
The object of this work was to provide further data of sufficient accuracy to assist in basic studies of the mechanism of dropwise condensation.
Precise measurements of heat flux and steam-to-surface temperature difference for dropwise condensation of steam on plane vertical surfaces are presented. Two promoters were used. The heat flux and surface temperature
were found from thermocouples precisely located in copper test plates. Special care was taken to avoid thermocouple errors and the effects of noncondensing
gases. The approximate ranges covered were: heat flux 0.05 - 1.15 MW/m2, pressure 0.05 - 1.0 bar.
