Sinopsis

Nanofluids are nanoparticle suspensions. Viscosity is essential for evaluating the performance of a nanofluid as a flow and heat transfer fluid. In this study, the viscosity of nanofluids with nanoparticles of varying aspect ratio was modeled and compared with the literature. Effect of particle aspect ratio on viscosity of nanofluid was discussed at different particle concentration, aggregation and fractal index. Results show that the effect of aspect ratio on viscosity of nanofluid is more remarkable at higher particle concentration, aggregation ratio and lower fractal index.
