COMPUTATIONAL AND EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION OF CHARGE AIR FLOW IN A VEHICLE INTERCOOLER SYSTEM
Sinopsis
The work described in this paper is an investigation into the characteristics of the charge-air flow in a commercial intercooler system. Experimentally determined pressure drop correlations were used in conjunction with an appropriate finite volume code to solve for the flow fields. The predicted results were correlated with experimental measurements of system pressure drop and core flow distribution.
