Sinopsis

An apparatus has been designed and constructed to measure thermal conductivity of liquids at temperatures at or above their atmospheric boiling points. Thermal conductivity measurements have been made over a temperature range of 0°C to 150°C at pressures up to 25 bar.
A semi-empirical correlation is presented which has been tested for the n-alkane series (n-hexane to n-decane) with a maximum deviation of ± 3 % in the temperature range 0.1 ≤ Tr ≤ 0.7.
