Sinopsis

A laboratory made thermal probe has been tested in conduction·convection tests. The thermal probe is made with an inner part where the thermocouple and the heating system are located. The rest of the probe is made with a filling substance and an external steel cylinder. The behaviour of the internal and external parts has been investigated. Several thermal probes have been built in laboratory with different filling substances and different construction procedure. Liquids and granular incoherent materials have been tested. Thermal conductivities have been measured with the transient method. The convective regime is investigated as the final steady state of the transient temperature increase. Experiments have been performed in liquids. Preliminary experiments have been carried out in granular incoherent materials in order to measure the convection heat transfer coefficient around the thermal probe.
