Sinopsis

A model based upon the single particles analysis was presented to predicate the heat transfer from a high temperature fluidized bed to immersed surface. The model, compared with the others) is simple both in its concepts and calculation. More importantly, empirical parameters, which are somewhat arbitrary and usually used to adjust the predications of the model to meet the experimental data, do not appear in present model. The total heat transfer coefficient and the radiative contribution were given as a function of bed temperature and particle size. The model was examined with a series of experiments conducted on a fluidized bed combustion boiler. A good agreement between the predication and experimental data shows that the model is suitable and reliable.
