THERMAL VISUALIZATION OF HEAT TRANSFER CHARACTERISTICS FOR JET ARRAY IMPINGEMENT WITH INITIAL CROSSFLOW
Sinopsis
Experiments are conducted to determine local heat transfer characteristics for jet array impingement cooling with initial crossflow. The results obtained from experiments show that: 1. The action of initial crossflow is similar to that of reducing z/ d; 2. The relative cooling effectiveness with initial crossflow in linine arrangement is better than that in staggered arrangement, and the difference becomes larger in the downstream region; 3. Under the action of initial crossflow, the relative cooling effectiveness undergos a variation from increasing to decreasing along the streamwise direction with change of z/d from 1 to 3.
