Sinopsis

An experimental study has been made of saturated boiling heat transfer in a narrow space ( S = 2.1 mm ) at atmospheric pressure, in which the vertical heated surface ( 10 mm long and 20 mm wide ) is located on one side and bubbles are forcibly injected at designated periods above 0.5 sec.
The experiment shows that at low heat fluxes, the heat transfer depends on the bubbles injected, but at high heat fluxes, it depends on a fraction of a lump of the bubbles generated on the heated surface in place of the bubbles injected. In addition, heat transfer coefficients are proportional to the reciprocal of the square root of the period at which the bubble injected at low heat fluxes, or the lump of bubbles at high heat fluxes, passes through the heated surface.
