UNSTEADY CHARACTERISTICS OF TWO PHASE FLOW IN A HORIZONTAL TUBE EVAPORATOR

Sinopsis

The unsteady characteristics of refrigerator such as starting behavior or hunting phenomena were investigated. Experimental data to be considered were recorded on oscillograph and compared with pictures taken to show flowing behaviors of refrigerant. The variations of temperature and film heat transfer coefficient were verified to each pattern of refrigerant flow, particularly the so-called slug flow. From visual observations and measured results the simplified model in order to consider the transient phenomena of refrigerator was obtained.
