Sinopsis

In two-phase evaporating flow with complete vaporization, outlet flowrate oscillations have been observed to accompany oscillations in the mixture-vapor transition point. Experimental evidence indicates an apparent coupling between these two oscillatory phenomena. This paper presents a theoretical model which predicts a direct correlation between the outlet vapor flowrate oscillations and the oscillatory behavior of the transition point. The model has the capability of predicting this relationship on a statistical as well as an instantaneous basis, and is in good agreement with experimental data.
