EXPERIMENTAL AND THEORETICAL STUDY ON THE INFRARED EMISSION OF SOOT PARTICLES IN LUMINOUS FLAME
Sinopsis
The spectroscopic analyses of the radiation from the luminous flame burning the heavy oil and the city gas were carried out in the wavelength range from 1.5µ to 5.4µ. The monochromatic absorption coefficients of the soot particle clouds obtained in our experiments differ from the previous theoretical values, but the tendency of the effects of the size distributions on the monochromatic absorption coefficients agrees well in each other. Furthermore the monochromatic absorption coefficients of soot particles were theoretically investigated considering the special nature of soot particles themselves which differs from the nature of graphite particles.
