DRYING-HARDENING PROCESS IN CEMENT PASTES
Sinopsis
The behavior of a portland cement paste exposed to drying while hydration rates are still considerable is studied. The problem is a case of transient heat and mass transfer in a capillary-porous solid with desorption and chemical reactions. The phenomena are represented by a pair of non-linear partial differential equations. The numerical solutions for distributions of evaporable and non-evaporable water and temperature are in satisfactory agreement with experimental results.
