MULTI-PHYSICS ANALYSIS OF THE THERMAL BEHAVIOR OF INDUCTOR BY USING OPEN-SOURCE SOFTWARE
Abstrakt
Inductors are one of the most important components during the early-stage thermal design of electronic equipment. The objective of this research is to develop a multi-physics simulation method for inductors' thermal analysis by using open source software with finite element method (FEM). Both two-dimensional model and threedimensional model of low-frequency inductor have been built for comparison using the partial differential equation solver FreeFem++. Maxwell's equations and heat conduction equation based model are introduced.
