Abstrakt

The objective of this paper is to present an experimental and theoretical work on combined gas radiative and convective heat transfer in high temperature heat exchangers. An original temperature measurement technique using laser beam deflection is presented. The radiative modelling consists in a P1 method combined with a narrow-band statistical spectral model. Results obtained from this model are compared with other models. This radiative model has been introduced in the thermohydraulic computer code TRIO developped by the CEA in order to perform combined radiative and convective heat transfer computations. Comparisons between experimental results and computation results show a good agreement. Radiative transfer can represent up to 50% of the total heat transfer at the cold wall in our quasi-industrial experimental conditions.
