Abstrakt

It is proposed here to represent any opaque wall by a certain number of models that are composed of simple elements of the following nature : homogeneous media, thermal resistance or thermal capacity. All the accepted models are characterized by three parameters (instead of two for a wall that can be homogenized). These parameters can be experimentally determined by the measurement of three quantities : the equivalent thermal conductivity (λe q) that can be measured through a hot plate experiment, the equivalent volumetric heat capacity (pceq ) that can be measured through calorimetry, the apparent thermal diffusivity (aapp) that can be measured through a heat pulse (flash) experiment.
The use of space integral transforms (Hankel or Fourier) make the extension of these representations to two - or three - dimensional transfers possible.
