Abstrakt

The present study was made to obtain information for normal nucleate boiling at high heat fluxes, but it had as a key feature the use of an interference plate that was a solid surface opposed to a flat heating surface with a purpose to give artificial restrictions to the fluid movement near the heating surface. Those matters were particularly studied such as effects of vapor masses on the fluid zone on the heating surface, thickness of the fluid zone, radius of vapor stems, thin-liquid-film vaporization, and a possibility of a boiling combining discrete vapor stems and liquid film vaporization.
