Numerical Optimization of Extended Heat Transfer Surfaces and Compact Heat Exchangers
Abstrakt
The stochastic method of numerical optimization is applied to the optimum design of extended heat transfer
surfaces and compact heat exchangers. The approach is illustrated on two practical examples: a) shape
optimization of a single straight fin cooled by forced convection, b) optimization of the finned array.
