CONDENSATION ON A FALLING LAMINAR LIQUID FILM
Abstrakt
The paper presents an analytical study of the process of direct contact condensation of the saturated vapour of a flowing liquid on the cold laminar falling liquid film along an inclined wall. The local Nusselt number, the nondimensional film thickness, the effectiveness and average temperature in the liquid film are found to depend on parameters such as α, Pr, β, and γ of which the first two control the process. The boundary layer thickness in the vapour is found to depend on an additional parameter k.
