Abstrakt

The narrow band-model parameters were obtained experimentally for the ν1, ν3, ν1 + ν3 and 2ν1 bands of sulfur dioxide. The line-shape parameters were calculated theoretically by the line broadening theory and by the specific criterion based on the band model. Good agreement was obtained between the present experiment and the theory. But the line-shape parameters and the self-broadening coefficients were much different from those reported previously. From the theoretical point of view, the present values were confirmed to be reliable. The revised wide band-model parameters were determined, including the ν2 and ν2 + ν3 bands, and applied to calculate the total gas emissivities, which were considerably different from the previous values.
