Abstrakt

A new approach to the mathematical modelling of heat transfer processes has been described in this paper. Methods usually used in heat transfer analysis base on a unique (in mathematical sense) description without the possibility of checking the correctness of the assumed simplifications. With these methods it is also aimpossible to evaluate the effect of the errors of the directly measured quantities on the model accuracy. An extension of the mathematical description by introducing the supplementary information (data) concerning the process has been proposed as a method for verifying the mathematical models of heat transfer processes. Theoretical considerations have been illustrated by computing the temperature distribution inside the laboratory combustion chamber.
