A CALCULATION MODEL FOR CONDENSATION HEAT TRANSFER OF AN ALTERNATIVE REFRIGERANT
Abstract
Local condensation heat transfer coefficients in tubes were calculated by solving momentum and energy equations with the distribution of turbulent eddy viscosity proposed. Basic calculation algorithm conformed to the algorithm developed by Dukler, and turbulent eddy distribution within the condensate film was refined from that of Blangetti and Schlunder. The effects of turbulent eddy viscosity and turbulent Prandtl number modeling on condensation heat transfer are discussed. Also calculated condensation heat transfer coefficients of R22 and its potential candidate for an alternative refrigerant, R410a were compared to some correlations and experimental data.
