Abstract

This paper deals with a theoretical and experimental investigation of the heat transfer in an optical window, taking into account the anisotropy of radiant heat sources (angular and spectral) on both vitrous interfaces. Various effects on the temperature field are analysed : window thickness, window optical properties, radiant sources temperatures, convection heat exchange on one face. Theoretical results are compared with experimental data related to the surface temperature of both vitrous interfaces.
