HEAT TPANSFER IN CONDENSATION OF LIQUID METAL VAPOURS
Abstract
The experimental part of the work includes the measurement of heat transfer in condensation of the vapours of potassium and sodium on a vertical flat surface under the conditions of static vapour.
Analytical investigations deals with two problems for conditions of metal film laminar flow: (A) condensation of static vapour in gravitatimal field, and (B) condensation from a forced turbulent flow of vapour under weightlessness conditions.
By means of integral method approximate relationships are obtained which take into account the resistance of phase transition and cross flow of impulse due to condensation.
