Abstract

Many electrical machines are cooled by the laminar flow of high Pr fluids with temperature sensitive thermophysical properties. Numerical methods for use with these when computing heat transfer and pressure drop data are described. Predictions are compared with experimental results for plane ducts, rectangular ducts, tubes and layer type transformer windings.
