HEAT TRANSFER FROM A CYLINDER IN A GAS-LIQUID SPRAY FLOW STREAM
Abstract
Experimental investigation and theoretical
consideration of heat transfer process between
electrically heated test cylinder and gas-liquid
spray flow have been done. The test cylinder
has been set in row of the cylinders
which axes are in plaine normal to direction of the spray flow.
Elaborated prediction model has been confirmed by experimental results. In the model phenomena of droplets bouncing and evaporation of liquid on the film surface has taken into consideration.
The investigation have showed increase of the local and average values of heat transfer coefficients for row arrangement of cylinders in comparison with the values obtained for the single cylinder. It has been found out that in this case, cylinder surface covered by the film becomes increased.
