Abstract

The problem of temperature and dynamic conditions of a round cylinder in viscous fluid flow under the condition of asymmetric fluid flow disturbance near a cylinder is raised and solved. This problem is solved by means of the difference method. Unlike the known work by Fromm the calculation of dynamics of a cylinder of rectangular section, the solution is found in this paper for working out of difference equations which approximate initial differential relations with the approximation order O(h2) being stable within the whole range of the Be number change. A scheme of solving of difference equations, which is distinguished for its efficiency and the simplicity of realization, is proposed.

The investigations are made with the Re numbers of 10, 20, 40, 80, 200 and with the Pr numbers of 0,1; 10. The data on the eddy structure behaviour in a track after a body are obtained. Fluid forces affecting a body are calculated. The temperature distribution problem in fluid flow and on a cylinder surface is solved providing q is constant on the cylinder surface.
