Abstract

The solution of Stefan problem is given with transient initial and boundary conditions (of second kind) in successive interval. The law of motion of boundary s(τ) and temperature distribution in solid and liquid phases are determined. Along with Stefan two-phase problem his one-phase problem (problem with ablation) is investigated. The solution of direct problem thus obtained is used solve the inverse problem. All solutions are checked on numerous examples. Comparisons with exact analytic solutions found for special boundary and initial conditions are given.
