摘要

Considering the absorption process of light radiation by lattice particles in the solid phase and the resulted particle motions, the processes of phase change of melting and vaporization by laser radiation were studied theoretically. The excitation of energy states by light radiation is expressed as a change in the potential energy acting between the lattice particles. The Hamiltonian equations of particle motion with this potential energy are solved numerically with the finite difference method with respect to time.
The numerical results show that the excitation period is an impotant factor for the process of phase change of the lattice particles. More chances of de-excitation such as in cyclic radiations will result in more favorable states for melting and evaporation. Long-life excitation makes the radiated particles evaporate monotonously without transfering their energy to the solid particles.
